On 17 July 2024 the Council approved to proceed to a formal regulation 18 public consultation on the Issues and Options Consultation Document July 2024[pdf] 14MB and associated documents. This marks an important step in the Castle Point Plan preparation. The consultation will run until 16 September 2024.
Once adopted, the Castle Point Plan will guide development in Castle Point up until 2050. It will provide a framework to inform decision making, with local communities having a strong voice in determining what will happen where they live.
