Forced marriage can be defined as 'a marriage conducted without the valid consent of one or both parties, where duress is a factor.'
Honour based abuse refers to crimes or incidents committed to protect or defend the honour of a family and/or community.
It can take many different forms including harassment, criminal damage, arson, sexual assault, forced marriage, kidnap and even murder.
Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) comprises all procedures involving the partial or total removal of the external female genitalia or any other injury to the female genital organs for non-medical reasons.
