I wish to report an injured wild animal

You will need to contact the Wildlife Rescue Service on 01268 752923 or the RSPCA on 0870 55 55 999.

 

Where can I launch a jet-ski?

There is an area for the launching of sailboards but jet skis/bikes are not permitted to launch from the foreshore.

 

How do I contact the Ramblers Association?

Please contact the Rochford and Castle Point Ramblers Association’s Secretary on 01268 786620.

 

I am complaining about the poor standard and / or lack of playground equipment at a park.

The Council is in the process of seeking funding to replace or repair existing equipment. However, the playgrounds are inspected on a weekly basis. If the equipment is beyond economic repair, it is removed in the interests of health and safety.

The Council has 3 bowl grounds which are leased to 3 Bowls Clubs. The names and contacts of the Bowl Clubs and where they operate are as follows:

  1. Castle Point Bowling Club  operating at Woodside Park, Manor Road, Benfleet, Essex.
  2. Hadleigh Bowls Club  operating at John H Burrows Recreation Ground, Rectory Road, Hadleigh, Benfleet.
  3. South Benfleet and Canvey Bowls Club operating at South Benfleet Playing Fields, Brook Road.

Where can I use my skateboard in the Borough?

There are two skateboard parks in the borough.

One is located at the South Benfleet Playing Fields behind Richmond Hall, Benfleet High Road - please contact Legacy XS Skateboard Club on 01268 565650.

The other is a free council site located behind Waterside Farm Sports Centre, Sommes Avenue, Canvey Island.
