Prior Notification

Please submit planning applications online at The Planning Portal https://www.planningportal.co.uk/apply

  • Your Prior Notification application must include the following:
  • all sections of the notification application form completed in full, dated and signed
  • a scaled site plan indicating the site and showing the proposed development – scale not more than 1:500
  • details of any proposed building operations (discuss with Rob level of detail)
  • The correct fee (paid online via the Planning Portal or by phone 01268 882200)

 

Further information required

All prior approval change of uses

  • site-specific flood risk assessment for development in flood zone 2 or 3, or

Class C – Change of use from Class A1, Class A2, Betting Offices, Pay Day Loan Shops and Casinos to Class A3         

  • Existing and proposed elevations and floor plans (if building or other operations are required for the provision of facilities for ventilation and extraction (including the provision of an external flue), and the storage of rubbish) – scale of no more than 1:100

Class P - Change Of use from Storage or Distribution Buildings (Class B8) and any land within its curtilage to Dwellinghouses (Class C3)

  • a statement setting out the evidence to demonstrate that the building was used solely for storage or distribution centre use on the 19th March 2014 and the building was used solely for storage or distribution centre use for a period of at least 4 years.

Class N - Change of Use from Amusement Arcades/Centres and Casinos, (Sui Generis Uses) and any land within its curtilage to Dwellinghouses (Class C3)

  • caled plans, drawings, schedule or information necessary to describe the details of the design

Class J - Installation, Alteration or Replacement of other Solar Photovoltaics (PV) equipment on the Roofs of Non-domestic Buildings, up to a Capacity of 1 Megawatt, subject to certain limitations

  • 1 existing and proposed elevations and floor plans – scale not less than 1:100
