2024 Winners

The winners of the Castle Point Mayor’s Awards 2024 were announced at a presentation evening event at the Runnymede Hall on Friday 1 March. We received a record number of nominations for the Awards, which also saw the introduction of four new categories, making it more competitive than ever before.

The Mayor of Castle Point, Councillor Lynsey McCarthy Calvert, struggled to choose the winners from some very high-quality and unique businesses, but here they are:

• Business of the year winners - S. Stibbards & Sons
• Business of the year runners up - International House
• Young Businessperson of the year - Katie Baldwin
• Mayor's community award - individuals recognised for their outstanding dedication and commitment for going out of their way to help others in the community in which they live and work. Awarded to Kate Brown and her team at Hair Pro 1 Training Academy.
• Startup Business of the year: Ready, Kelly, Sew
• Health and Beauty Award - The Hair Studio
• Hospitality and Leisure Award - Monico Leisure
• Green Business of the Year - Plant Faced Coffee Shop
