White sacks for textiles are set to replace the current blue textile sacks and will be collected on a Wednesday collection from Wednesday 4 February 2026.

Castle Point Borough Council works in partnership with Essex Textiles to collect textiles for reuse and recycling. Sacks are only collected by Castle Point and Essex Textiles branded vans.
You can also take your waste to textile recycling banks around the Borough.

- All men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and underwear
- Paired shoes & boots
- Blankets, towels & bed linen
